Clarity Imaging Technologies is committed to developing new technology that drives up toner yields and drives down your costs. There are currently seven patents in our PageMax products. These patents allow us to make OEM compatible toner cartridges that are guaranteed to save you 25%. And, we are constantly developing and testing new technology that will continue to benefit your bottom line.

Chips
Most laser print cartridges now come equipped with Identification Chips. These electronic devices interact with the printer through the resident printer control software (the firmware). The chips also have a limited data storage capacity enabling the printer to write data to the chip. This uses the chip like a journal to record information particular to that individual cartridge, such as page & pixel counts, toner level monitoring, identification of special application cartridges (such as MICR cartridges), and other performance information. In this respect, the chips represent a positive enhancement to the printer. They also provide a tool to network administrators, enabling them to monitor the usage of consumables in a fleet of printers and providing them the means to control configuration of these printers. PageMax will insure that our chips work seamlessly with your printer’s firmware.

Firmware
The largest concerns are changes to firmware. Clarity’s engineering and product development team work closely with chip suppliers; currently we have three alternative suppliers for chips to monitor new firmware upgrades. If a change is made to firmware, we immediately assess the impact on our existing chips and, if warranted, have new chips programmed. We make certain that PageMax products either in our inventory or throughout the distribution channel work effectively. Changes to our chips can be made almost immediately and there is no threat to the supply of PageMax cartridges.
