Then send the package to Clarity Imaging Technologies so that the empty cartridge can be disassembled and disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.

A. The use of PageMax laser toner cartridges will NOT void your OEM warranty. Hewlett-Packard wants you to purchase only their cartridges, though they can not recommend the use of non-Hewlett-Packard toner cartridges. The use of non-HP cartridges does not affect either the warranty or any maintenance contract purchased from HP. However, if an HP LaserJet printer failure or any printer damage is found to be directly attributable to the use of any non-HP product, the repair will not be covered under the warranty or HP maintenance contract. Claritys product guarantee includes replacement of all defective parts up to and including printer replacement if the PageMax laser toner cartridge is found to be defective or at fault in a malfunction.

A. Up until PageMax, cartridges have either been classified as new (OEM) or remanufactured (Reman). PageMax is the new OEM double-yield quality alternative cartridge. While OEM cartridges are considered new, they often have some reclaimed parts, such as the plastic outer housing. PageMax also manufactures its cartridges with a used plastic housing (which is why PageMax cartridges cannot lawfully be considered “new”), while all of the remaining components of the cartridge are brand new.
